Ultracapacitors (Supercapacitors)

Ultracapacitors , or supercapacitors, are energy storage devices in much the same way as batteries.

However, and unlike batteries, ultracapacitors have very high power densities, meaning they are able
to deliver intense amounts of electrical energy in very short bursts.

Ultracapacitors have very long operating lifetimes, up to several million charge-discharge cycles.
They are highly stable, stay cool. They are very reasonably priced and provide huge energy gains,
meaning they are overall highly cost-efficient.

There are very many different applications that make use of ultracapacitors including in particular:
portable and consumer electronics, transport and automotive, telecommunications and a whole range
                of renewable energy sources.
